** The City of Olathe is hiring a
** Solid Waste Collection Operator
** to support residential and bulk item collection services. This position is part of the City’s Solid Waste Division and plays an important role in delivering reliable, safe, and efficient collection services to the community.

** Position Highlights**

* Typical schedule:

** Monday through Friday, 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., or until all routes are completed.
** Holiday Schedule**
* ** Holidays off:
** Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day
* If one of these holidays falls on a weekday, employees are required to work the following Saturday
* Employees may be required to work other holidays in support of essential service operations###
** New Hire Bonus
** This position is eligible for a **$4,000 new hire bonus**, paid in the following installments:* $1,000 after 30 days of continuous employment* $1,000 after 6 months of continuous employment* $2,000 after 1 year of continuous employment

Employees must be actively employed at the time of payout and successfully meeting introductory period requirements. Current City of Olathe employees are not eligible.###
** Minimum Qualifications
*** Valid
** Kansas Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
*** Safe driving record
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
