Shift: Back Half 2nd Shift 6pm-6am Thursday-Saturday
We are currently seeking a Material Handler to join our team at our cold storage facility, where temperatures are maintained at 36 degrees year-round. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for efficiently moving products, equipment, and materials throughout the facility, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesUtilize a variety of material handling equipment to move products, equipment, and materials on and off trucks or throughout the cold storage facility.
Put away palletized units into racks above floor height and pick palletized units out of rack locations.
Record materials, weight, counts, and condition of items via Radio Frequency (RF) system.
Load and unload materials on and off pallets, skids, or lifting devices.
Read and follow computerized work orders to determine quantities and types of products to be shipped.
Document and report damages and discrepancies to supervisors or leads.
Pack, seal, and label materials/pallets for shipping and ensure all palletized stock is securely wrapped.
Complete daily forklift maintenance/check sheet and monitor battery charge.
Alert appropriate leader of any issues with the product or materials and await directions to rectify the problem.
Assist in cleaning and organizing the cold storage warehouse as needed.
2 years of warehouse generalist experience.
Ability to identify products through reading, interpreting, and scanning or manually inputting pallet identification numbers.
Basic math skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work in a cold storage environment with temperatures maintained at 36 degrees year-round.
Ability to lift a minimum of 40 lbs./18 kgs.
Flexibility to work a flexible work schedule, including weekends if needed.
Comfortable with various noise levels in the warehouse environment.
