ResponsibilitiesPriorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and oversee the construction of water and wastewater infrastructure projects from pre-construction through closeout.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Ensure construction activities comply with contract requirements, project specifications, and quality standards.
- Coordinate contractors, subcontractors, vendors, regulatory agencies, and project stakeholders.
- Conduct site visits and lead progress and coordination meetings.
- Manage project documentation, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, daily reports, and record drawings.
- Review pay applications, invoices, and change order requests.
- Track project costs and assist with project budgeting and financial reporting.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, and project closeout activities.
- Prepare project status reports and maintain effective client relationships.
- Identify project risks and assist in resolving construction-related issues.
Essential
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of construction project management experience.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) License in the State of New Jersey.
- Experience serving as an Owner's Representative, Resident Engineer, or Construction Manager on infrastructure projects.
- Experience managing project schedules, budgets, contracts, and construction activities.
- Experience with water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including treatment plants, pumping stations, and collection/distribution systems.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and quality control practices.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- Curiosity and interest in continuous learning in AI and comfort experimenting and iterating quickly; uses data to validate ideas and measure impact.
- Commitment to ethical and responsible AI adoption, including privacy-by-design and safe use of tools.
