- Responsible for the safety of patients under the direction of the Registered Nurse.
- Observe patient status for changes in behavior and report all observations to the Registered Nurse.
- Ensure patient safety by providing a safe environment, observing the patient’s environment for safety risks and taking necessary steps to reduce the risk.
- Apply appropriate interventions: observe, redirect, diversional activities.
- Must be able to work in situations with isolation precautions.
- Ensure positive patient and team interactions by promoting HMH core beliefs and standards.
- Maintain patient confidentiality, privacy, and dignity.
- Other duties and projects as assigned.
- High School diploma, general equivalency diploma (GED), and/or GED equivalent programs (or in progress) required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) required within 60 days of hire.

CompensationMinimum rate of $17.12 hourly. Minimum base pay for this role at the time of posting in accordance with the New Jersey Pay Transparency Act.
