LEARN, Southeastern Connecticut's Regional Educational Service Center, invites candidates to apply for a Special Education Teacher opening in the Elementary Developmental Disabilities classroom at Ocean Avenue LEARNing Academy in New London, Connecticut.

Day to Day

* Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team to create comprehensive student programming.

* Develop and implement engaging evidence based, developmentally appropriate lessons to individuals, and smalls groups.

* Build strong relationships with the caregivers to support each child's success.

Qualifications

* Connecticut Teacher certification (i.e. 165, 065) or eligible for certification.

* Strong written and verbal communication skills.

* Proven experience working with children in school or educational settings.

* Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills.
