The Friendship School is looking for an Intervention Specialist to join our Student Support Services team.

Why This Role Is Different
As an Intervention Specialist, you'll be an essential member of a collaborative team that includes special education teachers, Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs), therapists, administrators, and families. Together, you'll provide individualized support that helps students build the skills they need to thrive both academically and socially.
In This Role, You Will
- Implement instructional and behavioral support plans based on students' IEPs and individualized programming.
- Collect and monitor student data and collaborate with teachers, related services staff and BCBAs to adjust interventions.
- Support students across classroom and inclusion settings to promote independence and success.
- Assist with personal care and health responsibilities as needed.
- Prepare instructional materials, maintain documentation, and participate in ongoing professional learning and team collaboration.

Qualifications
- Associate's degree, completion of at least 60 college credits, or a Bachelor's Degree. Or high school diploma and Para Pro certifications required.
- Experience working with children with autism and/or emotional or behavioral challenges preferred.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds when necessary.
- Ability to successfully complete required de-escalation and restraint training.
