Highlights of the Position:

Compassionate, Collaborative Care: Demonstrate empathy, strong communication, and sound clinical judgment while supporting patients and care teams.

Direct Provider Support: Assist providers with patient care, treatments, and clinical decision‑making to ensure smooth, high-quality visits in a primary care setting that supports the whole person.

Clinical Desktop & Chart Management: Conduct chart reviews, manage medication refills, and support pre‑visit planning and other clinical requests.

Patient Preparation & Procedures: Room patients, maintain exam spaces, administer medications and vaccines, draw blood, and process labs under provider direction.

Quality & Compliance: Support adherence to quality standards and help implement best practices across the clinic.

Patient & Team Engagement: Collaborate across clinical and administrative teams to enhance patient experience and clinic workflows while ensuring patients feel heard and respected.

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Evidence of Medical Assistant training including all the essential job functions, knowledge, skills, and abilities listed here in this job description, or MA Certification required.
• Will have up to‑date training and certification in Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or American Health & Safety Institute. Must obtain within 2 weeks if not current at hire.
• Initial and maintained Certification is highly encouraged and supported.

Preferred:

• Graduate of an accredited program for Medical Assistants, or
  CMA
  - Certification by the AAMA, or
  RMA
  - Certification by the AMT, or
  CCMA
  - Certification by the NHA.
  Or prepared to certify within 60 days of hire.
