To deliver high‑quality, child‑centred social work practice within the Children Locality Team, focusing on safeguarding, assessment, intervention, and positive outcomes for children, young people, and families through relational, strengths‑based practice.

Conduct thorough assessments under the Children Act 1989, managing Child in Need (CIN) and Child Protection (CP) enquiries promptly.

Develop outcome‑focused, child‑centred plans collaboratively with families and multi‑agency partners.

Manage a varied caseload, including Child in Need, Child Protection, court work, and pre‑proceedings.

Deliver direct interventions to improve children’s safety, wellbeing, and stability.

Identify, evaluate, and act on safeguarding concerns in line with statutory requirements.

Participate in strategy meetings, case conferences, and multi‑agency planning.

Prepare comprehensive statements and care plans for court proceedings, presenting evidence professionally when required.

Foster trusting relationships with children and families, supporting positive change.

Collaborate effectively with schools, health services, police, and partner agencies.

Maintain accurate, timely case records, complying with procedural standards.

Engage in regular supervision and professional development to enhance practice.

Qualified Social Worker with registration with Social Work England

Significant experience in statutory children’s social care, with the ability to manage complex cases.

Strong skills in risk assessment, safeguarding, and multi‑agency collaboration.

Excellent communication, organisation, and record‑keeping abilities.
