This is a full-time, on-site role for a Registered Manager in Residential Care, located in Oldham. The Registered Manager is responsible for leading and managing the residential care home, ensuring high standards of care and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Day-to-day tasks include:
- Managing and supporting staff
- Implementing care plans
- Maintaining budgets
Overseeing training - Fostering a positive living and working environment for children and team members alike
- Providing compassionate, trauma‑informed care and building strong relationships with all stakeholders
- Strong communication skills, including the ability to build positive relationships with children, staff, and external partners
- People management and training expertise to lead, mentor, and develop a skilled and compassionate team
- Knowledge of residential real estate operations, ensuring compliance and effective home management
- Proficiency in budgeting to manage financial responsibilities effectively
- Comprehensive understanding of safeguarding principles and trauma-informed care practices
- Proven ability to meet regulatory standards, ideally with experience in meeting Ofsted criteria
- Relevant qualifications in residential childcare or leadership (e.g., Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent)
- Significant experience working with children in residential settings
