Rello Search Partners is recruiting for an Accounting Manager to be part of a well-established high performing team of accounting and finance professionals. Our client is a large public company with multi-state entities and locations headquartered in Tampa, FL.

The Accounting Manager reports to the Vice President of Accounting and is a high visibility role within the company.

* Only local candidates residing in the Tampa Bay area and able to work onsite at the corporate office will be considered for the position. This is NOT a remote or hybrid role. *

Responsibilities:

• Manage the accounting, financial planning and analysis, and regulatory compliance functions
• Review assigned financial statements to ensure balance sheet and income statement are complete and accurate.
• Review assigned mid-month and month-end reconciliations and work papers to verify proper documentation, support, and to ensure compliance with GAAP.
• Review and approve assigned journal entries.
• Ensure new and established accounting policies, procedures and controls are followed.
• Monitor accounting internal controls to mitigate against deficiencies.
• Perform financial analysis of financial statements.
• Perform research and analysis based on management inquiries.
• Oversee revenue recognition and deferred reconciliations.
• Represent accounting department in software development and accounting integration.
• Oversee fixed asset software, accounting, and reconciliation.
• Review annual Fixed Asset inventory and ensure it is complete and accurate.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly spreads.
• Assist with documentation of internal and external policies and procedures.
• Coordinate periodic training sessions on policies and procedures to enhance performance.
• Ensure the accounting team maintains regulatory compliance.
• Assists with support of financial audits including internal audits, external audits and peer reviews.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in Accounting from an accredited university
• CPA required
• 5+ years of accounting experience in a large company environment to include 1+ years of supervisory experience highly preferred
• Public accounting experience in audit highly desired
• Must possess strong presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
• Multi-state and multi-site locations experience a plus
• Proficient in MS Office and strong Excel to include pivot tables and vlookups
