Quality Technician/ Inspector, Quality Control / Manager
PGS Worldwide is seeking a Cable Inspector in Oldsmar, FL for a one year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This role focuses on inspecting cable assemblies to ensure they meet strict quality and industry standards. You will work closely with production and engineering teams to identify issues and maintain high-quality output.
Required Skills
- Experience with cable manufacturing and inspection processes
- Experience inspecting soldered and crimped connections to IPC-A-620 standards
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, parts lists, and work instructions
- Experience using measuring tools such as micrometers, dial indicators, and scales
- Strong attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Proficiency with personal computers and standard applications
- Ability to read and write English
- Ability to pass required medical screening
What You’ll Do
- Inspect cable assemblies using established methods and specifications
- Identify and document non-conformances and quality issues
- Accept, reject, or rework units based on inspection results
- Use measuring tools to verify product quality and compliance
- Follow inspection instructions, drawings, and customer specifications
- Communicate quality issues with assemblers, engineers, and management
- Perform assembly-related tasks as needed to support inspection areas
- Support quality control processes and continuous improvement efforts
Work Schedule / Shift
- Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM–3:30 PM (overtime on weekends as needed)
