PGS Worldwide is seeking a Cable Harness and Soldering Assembler in Oldsmar, Florida for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This onsite position supports cable harness assembly and soldering operations in a quality-driven manufacturing environment. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read engineering documentation, and hands-on experience building cable assemblies to IPC standards.
Required Skills
- High mechanical aptitude
- Experience stripping, crimping, and assembling copper and coaxial wires
- Experience performing soldering operations
- Experience building complete cable harnesses
- Ability to follow documented procedures
- Ability to interpret engineering prints and schematics
- Mechanical assembly experience
- Blueprint reading experience
- Electro-mechanical experience
- Experience with electro-mechanical sensors and actuators
- IPC-WHMA-A-620 experience
What You’ll Do
- Strip, crimp, and assemble copper and coaxial wires
- Perform soldering operations in support of cable and harness assembly
- Build complete cable harnesses in accordance with documented procedures
- Read and interpret engineering prints and schematics
- Support electro-mechanical assembly activities as needed
- Ensure work meets IPC 610 and IPC 620 quality standards
- Maintain accuracy and quality throughout assembly operations
Pay
- $18.00 - $25.00/hour
