THE WORK

Lockheed Martin Oldsmar is looking for a highly experienced Solder Assembler with deep expertise in both surface mount technology (SMT) and through hole soldering. The ideal candidate will be proficient in reworking and repairing a wide range of components. (SMT, PTH, Bottom-terminated) This role supports high mix, low volume production of critical aerospace and defense electronics, requiring meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.

Ability to work from diagrams and drawings, make initial layouts, and use hand and/or power tools. May conduct quality inspections on processing line in accordance with quality specifications. May disassemble, modify, rework, reassemble, and test production or prototype assemblies and subassemblies according to specifications. Expected to read and comprehend assembly parts lists, assembly drawings and any related reference documentation. Builds in accordance with IPC-610 (and other) quality standards.

Troubleshooting of process parameters to improve yield. The Operator will work with AOI (Automated Optical Inspection) equipment and identify solder defects on CCAs (circuit card assemblies).

You possess manufacturing knowledge, are adept at using hand tools, can proficiently read technical drawings to ensure an accurate and efficient assembly processes.

Basic Qualifications:

3 or more years solder experience

Experience as a previously certified to IPC-A-610 & J-STD

Familiar and able to use a microscope daily.

Desired

Skills:

Inspection experience a plus.

Through hole and surface mount soldering.

Past or present IPC-7711/7721 Certification.

Clearance Level: None

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
