THE WORK

The Materials Support Team Member is responsible for supporting end-to-end flow of materials within a fast-paced manufacturing environment by performing activities across multiple functional areas including Stores, Receiving, Distribution, Inventory Control, and Shipping. This role ensures the timely and accurate movement, storage, and tracking of materials to support production schedules, customer commitments, and operational objectives. Responsibilities include driving problem receipts to closure thru SAP/P2P analysis and research, supporting material replenishment strategies, analyzing material flow processes, and identifying opportunities for cost reduction/efficiency improvements.

The Materials Support Team Member may also facilitate and participate in cross-functional meetings with Production, Sourcing/Supply Chain, Planning, Quality, and Program Management teams to review key performance metrics, discuss continuous improvement initiatives, address material shortages or day-to-day disruptions, and develop action plans to achieve long-term materials management goals. Success in this position requires strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills, along with the ability to work collaboratively across departments to ensure operational excellence and customer satisfaction.

You possess manufacturing knowledge, are adept at using hand tools, can proficiently read technical drawings to ensure an accurate and efficient assembly processes.

Basic Qualifications:

* Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and cost reduction strategies.

* 3 or more years of experience in a Materials position within a manufacturing environment.

* Experience analyzing or researching transactions history in SAP.

* Ability to present to Senior Leadership Team.

* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

* Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills.

* Knowledge of business metrics and performance tracking.

* Strong decision-making skills.

* Ability to manage multiple priorities while providing oversight to the day to day operations.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time:
The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
