Job Title
Position would require the candidate to be a W2 employee of Donatech. US Citizenship/Permanent Resident Required.
Soldering Operations
Perform manual hand‐soldering, wave soldering, and reflow processes on circuit boards. Apply solder paste, flux, and alloys according to engineering drawings and IPC standards. Monitor soldering equipment (temperature, conveyor speed, etc.) and make real‐time adjustments.
Mechanical Assembly
Install components (mounts, brackets, heat‐sinks, connectors) using hand tools, torque wrenches, and pneumatic fixtures. Align and secure components to maintain dimensional tolerances.
Inspection & Testing
Conduct visual and automated optical inspection (AOI) of solder joints and mechanical fit. Perform functional tests (continuity, power‐up) and record results. Document non‐conformances and initiate corrective actions.
Documentation & Traceability
Complete work orders, lot tracking sheets, and time‐studies. Log equipment parameters, material lot numbers, and test results in the MES system.
Continuous Improvement
Participate in Kaizen events, 5S activities, and root‐cause analysis. Suggest process improvements to reduce cycle time, scrap, and rework.
Safety & Compliance
Follow EHS guidelines, wear appropriate PPE, and maintain a clean workstation. Comply with IPC‐610, IPC‐2221, and internal quality standards.
Required Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or GED; technical training preferred
Experience:
≥ 2 years in soldering and mechanical assembly of circuit cards (military, aerospace, or electronics manufacturing)
Technical
Skills:
Proficiency with hand‐soldering, wave, and reflow equipment; familiarity with torque specifications and calibrations; basic understanding of IPC standards
Certifications:
IPC‐610/IPC‐2221 awareness preferred; soldering certification a plus
