PGS Worldwide is seeking a Cable Harness Technician in Oldsmar, FL for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company.
The Cable Harness Technician will build, repair, solder, and test equipment cables and support equipment for a specific project. This role involves repetitive high-level cable harness builds and requires experience interpreting build instructions, electrical CCA schematics, bills of material, and assembly drawings.
Required Skills
• Bachelor’s degree with 4–8 years of relevant experience, or master’s degree with 2–6 years of relevant experience.
• Experience building high-level cable assemblies or cable harnesses.
• Certification to solder, build, repair, and test equipment cables and support equipment.
• Previous experience building test equipment assets or equivalent.
• Ability to interpret build instructions.
• Ability to read electrical CCA schematics.
• Ability to read bills of material.
• Ability to interpret assembly drawings.
• Ability to perform repetitive cable harness build work accurately.
• Ability to read and write English.
What You’ll Do
• Build specific cable harnesses for a project.
• Perform repetitive cable build work with accuracy and consistency.
• Solder, build, repair, and test equipment cables.
• Support equipment cable assembly and test activities.
• Interpret build instructions, CCA schematics, bills of material, and assembly drawings.
• Support high-level cable builds in a manufacturing environment.
• Ensure completed cable assemblies meet build and quality requirements.
Pay
• $40.00 per hour
