CNC Machinist
As a CNC Machinist, you will operate and set up CNC machines, specifically utilizing Haas equipment including mills and lathes. You will work with two center turning lathes and five mills (V2, V4, and V5), performing independent machine setups, running production jobs, and ensuring high-quality output.
Responsibilities
- Operate and set up CNC machines, including Haas mills and lathes.
- Perform independent machine setups.
- Run production jobs while monitoring performance and output quality.
- Make basic program edits using M and G codes as needed.
- Work with programs generated from Fusion 360.
- Maintain tight tolerances of ±0.001" (one-thousandth of an inch).
- Perform basic visual quality inspections of finished parts.
Essential Skills
- Experience operating CNC machines (experience with both mills and lathes is preferred).
- Proficiency in making basic edits in M & G codes.
- Capability to perform machine setups independently.
- Ability to work within tight tolerances (±0.001").
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with Haas equipment, including mills and lathes.
- Familiarity with Fusion 360 for program generation.
- Understanding of Axis and Mastercam.
- Skill in reading and interpreting blueprints.

Work Environment
Work in a dynamic setting with one manual machinist and one full-time CNC machinist. At times, up to four machinists may be present in the shop. The atmosphere is collaborative, focusing on precision and teamwork.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oldsmar, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
