Quality Assurance Engineer
Our client, an Aerospace and Defense company, is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer for their Oldsmar, FL location.
Responsibilities:- Apply quality principles to production control, design evaluations, and engineering workflows to ensure specifications and product requirements are consistently met.
- Collaborate with Quality Program Managers (QPMs), production teams, and other stakeholders to improve quality workflows within the Oldsmar site and partner locations.
- Lead root-cause investigations into product failures, analyze defect trends, and implement corrective/preventative measures directly tied to systemic improvements.
- Develop and refine inspection processes and contribute to building advanced testing mechanisms and systems to streamline quality procedures.
- Support quality for commodities like CCAs, cables, and box assemblies manufactured at the Oldsmar location for internal customers across other sites.
- Drive process alignment across partner programs and hardware teams within nearby locations.
- Leverage Tableau dashboards and predictive analytics to monitor production metrics and identify trends for actionable next steps.
- Initiate automation and AI solutions to reduce errors, improve inspection rates, and drive predictive quality outcomes.
- Strong communication skills – adept at collaborating across sites and program teams.
- Familiarity with AS9100 standards or equivalent aerospace quality models.
- Comfortable with hardware engineering requirements, integration, and system testing processes.
- Understanding of basic manufacturing requirements and quality engineering systems.
- Tableau and other data visualization platforms for quality tracking.
- Certifications like Lean Six Sigma or equivalent problem-solving methods.
- Experience with commodities such as CCAs, cabling assemblies, and box-level components.
- Familiarity with IPC and J-STD standards essential for component and system analysis.
