Job Summary:
Quality Assurance Engineer (Contract) - Oldsmar, FL About the Role Join a dynamic, high-precision electronics production facility as a Quality Assurance Engineer, driving product excellence through advanced analytics and data-driven quality improvements. Work directly with cross-functional teams to ensure mission-critical hardware consistently meets the industry's most rigorous standards. Responsibilities
- Conduct root-cause analysis of non-conforming hardware using statistical methods (SPC, Six Sigma, regression, hypothesis testing) - Develop, implement, and track corrective-action plans to ensure lasting remediation of quality issues
- Create and maintain real-time dashboards (Power BI, Tableau) to monitor quality metrics, defect trends, yield, and KPIs
- Translate complex data insights into clear, actionable visual stories for executive and production teams
- Define, monitor, and report on program KPIs, maintaining audit-ready data for ISO 9001/AS9100 compliance
- Partner with Quality Program Managers, Manufacturing Leads, and Advanced Technology Specialists to align on quality objectives
- Automate data extraction and trend analysis processes using Python, VBA, or Alteryx
- Build robust ETL pipelines and document data lineage to ensure accuracy and traceability Required Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or related STEM field
- Extensive experience (15+ years) in quality assurance, data analysis, or quality improvement in a manufacturing environment
- Proven track record with data visualization and analysis tools (SQL, Power BI, Tableau) - Strong communicator, skilled at presenting technical findings to non-technical stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple delivery sites Preferred Skills
- Hands-on experience with manufacturing statistical methods (SPC, Capability Analysis, Pareto, DOE) - Certified in Six Sigma, Lean, or similar continuous improvement methodologies
- Expertise in automated data workflows or ETL processes (Python, SQL, Alteryx) - Background in Aerospace, Defense, or high-reliability electronics manufacturing
- Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or aerospace quality standards Benefits
