Perform pre-registration, insurance verification, authorization and pre-certification, and financial clearance processes;
Advise patients of their financial responsibility and identify monies due for services;
Coordinate referrals to Hospital Financial Counselors for uninsured or underinsured patients;
Interview patients/guarantors to obtain demographic, clinical, and financial information for treatment authorizations and insurance eligibility;
Gather and record information to support future fiscal activities of the hospital
