Job Description
To schedule procedural appointments for Interventional Radiology in coordination with radiology, procedural nurses, cardiac/vascular scheduler, providers and ambulatory surgery. Communicates effectively with referring provider offices to coordinate the soonest available appointment time/date. Provides the referring providers office staff/patients with timely follow-up and with any information and/or instructions pertaining to the procedure. Communicates and coordinates with hospital departments regarding scheduling of procedures on inpatients.
EducationAnd Credentials
High School diploma or equivalent.
ExperienceTwo (2) to three (3) years of medical office experience and knowledge of medical terminology is preferred. Knowledge of and experience with Meditech strongly preferred. Must possess strong computer skills. Operating knowledge of Microsoft excel, Word and Outlook preferred. Detail oriented with excellent oral, written and organizational skills. Must be motivated and possess ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Must have strong ability to organize responsibilities and a high-volume workload.
