Industrial Engineer
Location:
Olive Branch, MS.
Shift: Monday–Friday 8 am–5 pm.
Employment Type:
Full Time Exempt.
The Industrial Engineer works closely with internal partners, operations leadership, and vendors to implement and support process improvement initiatives within the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities- Learn and analyze processes and systems across the supply chain, leveraging best‑practice methods and technologies to improve a fast‑paced retail business.
- Develop project justification skills including vendor selection, cost‑benefit analysis, and ROI estimation.
- Manage capital projects: requirements gathering, layouts, vendor management, timelines, and budget.
- Maintain the Labor Management Systems in both Distribution and Manufacturing facilities through the development of standard operating procedures, time studies, labor standards, and engineering configuration.
- Participate in special projects and other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- 1–3 years of experience in a technically related field.
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating distribution processes and identifying improvement areas.
- Capable of leading and managing projects to improve distribution processes, including planning, proposal, execution, and evaluation.
- Adaptability to changing business requirements and technologies, with strong problem‑solving skills.
- Desire for continuous learning and professional development, supported by project variety and vendor/technology discovery.
- Familiarity with simulation, data modeling, or visualization software.
- Experience in project management.
- Familiarity with automated material handling equipment or robotics.
- Familiarity with relevant software and tools such as WMS, LMS, WES, ERP.
- Lean Six Sigma certification – Greenbelt or higher.
- Experience in distribution or logistics.
- Able to bend, reach, squat, and climb stairs or ladders.
- Able to walk throughout a large warehouse (typically 1 M+ sq ft).
- Able to stand for stretches of time (2+ hours).
- Willingness to travel (up to 50%).
