Position SummaryThe Industrial Engineer Intern will support process analysis, data‑driven problem solving, and layout optimization projects within the NADC. This internship provides exposure to applying industrial engineering principles in a high‑volume distribution environment with an emphasis on efficiency, ergonomics, and continuous improvement. Interns will contribute to real improvement initiatives while gaining valuable technical and analytical experience.

30 hours per week
- Collect, analyze, and interpret time study, labor usage, and workflow data.
- Assist in developing labor standards, productivity benchmarks, and capacity models.
- Support warehouse layout and material flow projects (AutoCAD exposure a plus).
- Contribute to Kaizen and Lean projects, helping reduce waste and improve efficiency.
- Partner with supervisors and managers to trial and validate process changes.
- Present a final project on an assigned operational improvement opportunity.
- Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related discipline.
- Strong quantitative and problem‑solving skills.
- Interest in Lean, Six Sigma, and process optimization.
- Proficiency in Excel; exposure to AutoCAD, simulation tools, or WMS preferred.
- Exposure to data collection and analysis in an operational setting.
- Hands‑on experience with process mapping and workflow improvement.
- Participation in real‑world Lean/Kaizen initiatives.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $20.00 and $25.00 per hour; however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience.
If hired, employee will be in an "at‑will" position and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
