Plant Accountant

About the Role

DP World North America, part of DP World Group, operates complex 4‑walled warehouses for global clients. We seek a detail‑oriented Accountant to support our growing operations in the warehouse and logistics sector. The role focuses on customer billing, cost tracking, and financial reporting related to supply chain activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of logistics workflows, inventory valuation, and cost control.

San Antonio, Texas (Freeport Road);
Goodyear, Arizona (S Cotton Lane);
Moreno Valley and Rialto, California.

• Meet weekly and monthly deadlines for A/R, payroll, accruals, financial statements, and operations; liaise with plant departments to understand costs and provide counsel.
• Compile billing information from Operations Supervisors each week and create customer invoices based on data from production managers and forecast weekly cash receipts.
• Complete month‑end financial statements, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and prepare summaries of weekly and monthly billing for corporate.
• Assist the Controller with development of the annual budget for the plant location, develop and implement a monthly forecast methodology, and facilitate preparation and distribution of monthly performance measurements and operations review package.
• Assist with year‑end audit preparation and account reconciliation, including preparing accounts receivable invoicing, maintaining contact with customers on collections, verifying A/R match contract language, and analyzing anticipated financial results.
• Review and analyze new business quotations, capital requests, and opportunities for cost savings.
• Identify concerns within the finance department and propose resolution strategies.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; BS/BA in Business or related field also acceptable.
• Minimum of 5‑7 years of relevant accounting experience, or minimum of eight years of experience managing a cross‑regional team.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices, financial reporting, analysis, and management.
• Experience in sales or sales management in a business‑to‑business environment is preferred.
• Preferable five years of experience in sales operations, business planning, sales support, or marketing role.
• Experience successfully managing analytically rigorous programs.
• Knowledge of industry best practices in sales and sales operations.
