Assistant Director of Assessment & Referral

Full-time. Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m.

- 11:00 p.m.

Parkwood Behavioral Health System

Parkwood Behavioral Health System provides behavioral health and chemical dependency services to the Mid‑South region. The facility is located in Desoto County, Mississippi, approximately 7 miles south of Memphis.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Director of Assessment and Referral, the Assistant Director assures smooth and orderly admissions into the hospital, receives incoming admission inquiry calls, assesses patients for admission, and makes appropriate referrals. The Assistant Director also participates in staff evaluation, shift leadership, and provides task assignment and accountability necessary to complete all admissions‑related duties for their shift.

Qualifications Education

Master's Degree required in Psychology, Sociology, or related field.

Experience

Two (2) years clinical experience in a psychiatric setting. Prior management experience preferred.

Licensure/Certification

LCSW, LMSW or LPC preferred. CPR Certification required.

Knowledge

Preferred knowledge of recruitment, selection, benefits, employment law, worker’s compensation, compensation, and employee relations. Advanced computer skills required.
