Assistant Director of Assessment & Referral
Full-time. Monday through Friday, 3:00 p.m.

Parkwood Behavioral Health System provides behavioral health and chemical dependency services to the Mid‑South region. The facility is located in Desoto County, Mississippi, approximately 7 miles south of Memphis.
ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of the Director of Assessment and Referral, the Assistant Director assures smooth and orderly admissions into the hospital, receives incoming admission inquiry calls, assesses patients for admission, and makes appropriate referrals. The Assistant Director also participates in staff evaluation, shift leadership, and provides task assignment and accountability necessary to complete all admissions‑related duties for their shift.
Qualifications EducationMaster's Degree required in Psychology, Sociology, or related field.
ExperienceTwo (2) years clinical experience in a psychiatric setting. Prior management experience preferred.
Licensure/CertificationLCSW, LMSW or LPC preferred. CPR Certification required.
KnowledgePreferred knowledge of recruitment, selection, benefits, employment law, worker’s compensation, compensation, and employee relations. Advanced computer skills required.
