Parkwood Behavioral Health System provides behavioral health and chemical dependency services to the Mid‑South region and has been in business since 1987. We are located in Desoto County, in the northwest corner of Mississippi and approximately 7 miles south of Memphis.

We offer a full continuum of care that provides treatment options to meet the individual needs of adults, adolescents and children. Parkwood Behavioral Health System includes a 148‑bed inpatient acute and residential care facility, as well as partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient programs.

Outpatient Therapist

Full‑time

Monday - Friday

The Outpatient Therapist will provide social work services in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Parkwood. The Therapist is responsible for psychosocial assessments, individual, group and family therapy, participation in treatment team planning, processing commitments, discharge planning / case management, crisis intervention and liaison services with referral sources and other departments within the facility.

• Education: Master's Degree required in a health or human services field.
• Experience: One (1) year prior psychiatric experience preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: LMSW, LCSW, LPC or LMFT preferred. CPR Certification required.
• Knowledge: Knowledge of individual, group and family therapy theory and practice, case management, group leadership skills, discharge planning, age specific growth and development and crisis and behavior management.
