Parkwood Behavioral Health System (a UHS facility)
Parkwood Behavioral Health System provides behavioral health and chemical dependency services to the Mid‑South region. It has been in business since 1987 and is located in Desoto County, in the northwest corner of Mississippi, approximately 7 miles south of Memphis.
ResponsibilitiesThe Outpatient Therapist will provide social work services in a manner consistent with the philosophy and objectives of Parkwood. The Therapist is responsible for psychosocial assessments, individual, group and family therapy, participation in treatment team planning, processing commitments, discharge planning/case management, crisis intervention, and liaison services with referral sources and other departments within the facility.
Schedule:
Full‑time, Monday – Friday.
Master’s Degree required in a health or human services field.
Licensure / Certification- LMSW, LCSW, LPC or LMFT preferred.
- CPR Certification required.
One (1) year prior psychiatric experience preferred.
KnowledgeKnowledge of individual, group and family therapy theory and practice, case management, group leadership skills, discharge planning, age‑specific growth and development, and crisis and behavior management.
