The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks (MDWFP) is seeking an experienced .NET / Power BI Developer to support application development, reporting modernization, business intelligence initiatives, and data‑driven decision‑making. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Microsoft technologies, Power BI reporting, SQL development, and web application support.

• 8+ years of experience in C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, and Web API development
• Strong hands‑on experience with Power BI dashboards, reports, datasets, semantic models, DAX, and Power Query
• Expertise in SQL Server
  , Stored Procedures, Views, Functions, and Query Optimization
• Experience developing and supporting web applications, APIs, and business applications
• Experience with ETL processes, data transformation, data migration, and reporting automation
• Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and performance tuning skills
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into technical solutions
• Strong documentation and communication skills
• Ability to mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance

• Experience with JavaScript, AngularJS, React JS, HTML5, CSS3, Bootstrap
• Experience with Visual Basic, Web Forms, and Web Server Administration
• Experience with Azure, Microsoft 365, SharePoint, and Entra
• Understanding of data governance, security, access controls, and reporting best practices
• Experience in Government, Public Sector, or Enterprise IT environments
• Experience building executive dashboards, KPIs, operational reports, and analytics solutions

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications using C#, ASP.NET, .NET Core, and Microsoft technologies
• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards, reports, visualizations, and semantic models
• Develop DAX measures, Power Query transformations, and reporting datasets
• Create and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, tables, and database objects
• Develop REST APIs, integrations, and internal business applications
• Support ETL processes, data transformation, and reporting automation initiatives
• Troubleshoot application, database, reporting, and data quality issues
• Modernize legacy applications, reports, and workflows
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to define KPIs and reporting requirements
• Document technical processes, report logic, and system changes
• Provide production support, maintenance, and mentoring to development teams
