The Senior Sourcing Manager will lead strategic sourcing activities for assigned direct and indirect materials, components, finished goods, and services in support of Edelbrock Group’s manufacturing and business objectives. This role is responsible for developing sourcing strategies, negotiating commercial agreements, strengthening the supplier base, improving cost and delivery performance, and ensuring reliable supply across a complex, high-SKU manufacturing environment.

The Senior Sourcing Manager will partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Planning, Finance, Product Management, and other cross-functional stakeholders to align supplier capability, capacity, cost, quality, lead time, and risk with business needs. The successful candidate will combine strong commercial judgment and analytical capability with a hands‑on approach to supplier development, negotiations, problem solving, and execution.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing & Category Management
  • Develop and execute sourcing and category strategies for assigned materials, components, finished goods, and services based on business requirements, market conditions, supplier capability, cost, quality, delivery, and risk.
  • Lead competitive sourcing events, requests for quotation/proposal, bid analysis, supplier selection, and commercial negotiations with domestic and global suppliers.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, minimum order quantities, capacity commitments, tooling arrangements, freight terms, warranties, and other contractual provisions to achieve the best total value.
  • Identify, qualify, and develop new supply sources to increase capacity, improve competitiveness, reduce risk, and support new and existing product requirements.
  • Maintain current knowledge of relevant commodity markets, supplier economics, industry trends, and cost drivers and translate that information into sourcing recommendations.
  • Establish sourcing roadmaps and measurable savings, cost‑avoidance, working‑capital, and supplier‑performance objectives aligned with the annual operating plan.
  • Develop and manage supplier relationships with clear expectations for quality, delivery, cost, responsiveness, capacity, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish and monitor supplier performance KPIs and scorecards and lead regular business reviews with critical or strategic suppliers.
  • Partner with Quality, Engineering, Sales, Operations, and Planning to address supplier performance issues, recurring disruptions, capacity constraints, and corrective actions.
  • Lead supplier improvement and development activities to strengthen delivery performance, quality, productivity, lead time, and overall capability.
  • Ensure suppliers comply with negotiated commercial terms and support resolution of contractual, pricing, delivery, and performance issues.
  • Build productive, long‑term supplier relationships while maintaining appropriate commercial tension and accountability.
Cost, Commercial & Value Management
  • Own sourcing‑related cost reduction and purchase price improvement initiatives for assigned spend and contribute to Operating Plan savings targets.
  • Analyze quotations, cost breakdowns, commodity movements, total landed cost, make/​buy considerations, supplier economics, and alternative sourcing scenarios.
  • Partner with Finance and Operations to validate savings, understand cost impacts, and support decisions that improve profitability and cash flow.
  • Identify opportunities for supplier consolidation, specification optimization, alternate materials, value engineering, localization, resourcing, and other total‑cost improvements.
  • Support negotiations and sourcing strategies for new product introductions, engineering changes, product transfers, and other business transitions.
Supply Continuity & Risk Management
  • Assess supplier capacity, lead times, financial and operational risk, geographic exposure, sole‑source dependencies, and other factors that could disrupt supply.
  • Develop mitigation and contingency plans for high‑risk suppliers and materials, including alternate suppliers, dual sourcing, capacity actions, and other continuity strategies.
