The Machine Operator is responsible for operating various equipment to fabricate metal components with precision and efficiency.
A Day In The Life- Operating saws and other cutting equipment to fabricate metal components according to specifications.
- Performing routine maintenance on saws and related equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Utilizing hand tools and machinery such as press brake machines, lathes, plasma cutting, and laser cutting for fabrication tasks.
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings to determine cutting requirements.
- Collaborating with team members to meet production goals while maintaining quality standards.
- Conducting quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Assisting in programming machinery for automated cutting processes when necessary.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area in compliance with safety guidelines.
- Proven experience as a machine Operator or in a similar machining role.
- Proficiency in operating various saws and fabrication equipment.
- Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication techniques and processes.
- Experience with hand tools, press brake machines, lathes, plasma cutting, or laser cutting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise instructions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Good problem‑solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
- Commitment to workplace safety practices.
