Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions)Assess and set-up production infrastructure and production process flow set-up.
Manage NPI introduction process and production documentation management to include:
WO BOM Validation
Shop Floor Control System Routing
Production flow diagrams, work instructions, pack out instructions, and similar.
Calculate Task time and workforce requirements.
Accountable for Change Order Management to include:
Assess, document and communicate all production floor and/or customer driven changes
Coordinate ECN phase in/cut in process
Control ECN/ECO Documentation
Control Manufacturing Notice Documentation
Update all applicable work instructions
Responsible for production training in the areas of NPI, ongoing KPI's and ECN's.
Provide detailed status reports to internal core team managers, and when applicable, our customers.
Meet with production managers to ensure processes are followed and of and will collaborate with them to adjust accordingly and make all necessary improvements.
Perform risk assessments to determine what kind of improvements could be made to keep the facility running smoothly and efficiently.
Responsible for reviewing safety and quality standards to ensure the manufacturing environment is properly meeting these guidelines.
Experience working on complex problems where analysis or data requires evaluation and identifiable factors and interacting with leadership on matters concerning several functional areas, divisions, and/or customers.
Guide the completion of projects and conduct technical tasks and/or set specific technical strategy and direction for self and/or others.
Education and Work ExperienceBachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of experience in process engineering.
Strong background in manufacturing processes, process improvement, and operational optimization. Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.
Knowledge,Skills and Abilities
Proficient with MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.)
Physical ability to work on and around industrial equipment, including occasional lifting to 50lbs.
Analytical and problem-solving skills
Knowledge of manufacturing systems
Effective in time management and delegation.
Skilled in debugging and root cause analysis
Job Complexity and SupervisionCapable of managing multiple projects.
Comfortable in a fast-moving business and team environment.
Attention to detail and highly motivated. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Working ConditionsFast paced work environment Certain areas are considered loud work environments and will require ear protection.
Physical DemandsExtensive use of computer equipment, and frequent telephone activity.
Periods of extended sitting, walking, and standing are required.
Activities such as bending and occasionally lifting to 40 pounds.
Employees must be physically capable of completing and satisfying all training requirements as stipulated by Company policy.
