Job Description

The overallobjectiveof the Wiring Technician position is to provide entry-level support for electrical assembly functions while learning wiring techniquestocontribute to a team focused on achieving industry leading cycle time, delivering superior quality, andassistingin reducing per unit costs to drive operational success. Consistent andaccuraterepresentation of the Mission Critical Group brand, mission, vision, values, and organizational strategy are essential to achieving the goals of the organization.

Accountabilities

  • Assemble,terminate,wireand install electrical components and devices into enclosures, per drawing packages and instructions defined by the Engineering Department to a sufficient level ofproficiencywith minimal errors under mentorship and guidance from senior team members orforemen.
  • Install and mount electrical controls, panels,sensors,and components by reading andcomprehendingschematics or documents to efficiently build customized equipmenttomeet deadlines.
  • Perform daily tasks with safe and proper use of equipment and tools, including tape measures, crimpers, drills, hand power tools, overhead cranes, pallet jacks, tilt tables, andsawhorses.
  • Interpret and apply basic electrical manufacturing knowledge and principles and read specifications todeterminecomponentparts, methods, and sequencing.
  • Maintain a safe,clean,and well-organized work area by complying with safety procedures, rules, quality standards and best practices, and relying on pre-established guidelines or directions from senior team members to perform tasks optimally.
  • Assist with cleaning and packing finished products for shipping.
  • Identify and report missing materials or production problems that may cause project delays oreffectquality.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Required knowledge/Experience

  • 0-1years of experience using hand tools in a skilled labor environment.
  • 0-1yearsof experience in electrical or manufacturing assembly.
  • Production and Processing:

    Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Mechanical:

    Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Active Listening:

    The ability to give full attention to when others speak and take time to understand the points being made, asking questions asappropriateand not interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Verbal & Written Communication

    Skills:

    The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand and the ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.
