RN – Med Surg

Location: George Regional Hospital – Lucedale, MS
Department: Medical Surgical Unit
Schedule: Full-Time, Day Shift
Reports To: Nurse Manager

George Regional Hospital is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Medical Surgical team on the day shift. The RN is responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to a diverse population of patients while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to ensure positive patient outcomes.

• Provide direct nursing care to patients on the Medical Surgical Unit
• Assess, monitor, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment
• Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as prescribed
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
• Respond appropriately to changes in patient condition and emergency situations
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record
• Follow hospital policies, procedures, and patient safety standards

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Mississippi (or eligibility to obtain)
• Current BLS & ACLS certification required
• Previous Medical Surgical nursing experience preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
