Requirements

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security (EHS&S) programs across multiple manufacturing facilities.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, FDA, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Maintain and continuously improve ISO 14001 Environmental Management and ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems.
  • Manage regulatory inspections, compliance audits, CAPAs, permits, certifications, and reporting requirements.
  • Develop and deliver employee safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance training.
  • Lead investigations involving workplace injuries, environmental incidents, near misses, and property damage.
  • Oversee hazardous waste management, chemical safety, DOT hazardous materials compliance, and environmental programs.
  • Manage emergency preparedness, business continuity planning, fire prevention, and facility security programs.
  • Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, Facilities, and Human Resources to integrate EHS&S into daily operations and capital projects.
  • Monitor safety and environmental performance metrics while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Coordinate contractor safety programs and workers' compensation return‑to‑work efforts.
  • Serve as the company's primary liaison with regulatory agencies, certification bodies, and external auditors.
Qualifications Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Safety Engineering, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of progressive EHS&S experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience managing OSHA, EPA, and ISO 14001/45001 compliance programs.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Experience conducting regulatory inspections, compliance audits, incident investigations, and corrective action management.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHS management/compliance software.
  • OSHA 30 General Industry certification.
  • Valid driver's license.
Preferred
  • Master's degree in an EHS, environmental, or engineering discipline.
  • CSP, CIH, CHMM, ASP, or similar professional certification.
  • ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification.
  • Experience in OTC pharmaceutical, FDA‑regulated, or cGMP manufacturing.
  • Multi‑site EHS&S management experience.
  • Knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM), combustible dust programs, DEA List I chemical security, and RCRA hazardous waste management.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
Schedule
  • Full‑time, Exempt
  • Monday‑Friday
  • Additional hours may be required to support audits, inspections, emergencies, training, and business operations.
  • Travel between company facilities is required.
