Key Responsibilities
  • Identify vulnerabilities and conduct root‑cause analysis using data to define mitigating actions while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
  • Actively monitor and report outcomes for systems and tools that generate data indicating site/region opportunities.
  • Manage confidential investigations and prepare prompt reports of theft, fraud, and workplace violence/critical incidents.
  • Utilize continuous improvement to drive process enhancements and increase efficiency.
  • Serve as the department’s liaison and security/crisis management subject matter expert, keeping site leadership informed on key issues, strategies, and performance.
  • Identify, promote and implement security best practices while effectively partnering with internal customers to evaluate current and future security needs, processes, initiatives, and incident‑response planning.
  • Domestic regional travel up to 50% of the time when applicable.
  • Lift up to 49 pounds and frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach; stand/walk for up to 12 hours during shifts; work in an environment with variable noise, temperatures, and weather; continuously climb and descend stairs (applies to sites with stairs).
  • Cover 24/7 operations and must work all shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
A Day in the Life

As a SLP Expert, you will join a team of S&LP professionals providing security as a service to business customers across multiple business units within a dedicated geographical area. You will perform regular physical security audits and investigate policy violations, security‑related incidents, and loss events. During your investigations, you will collect information by monitoring systems and tools, analyzing data reports, and conducting interviews.

Your findings contribute to identifying vulnerabilities in various processes and driving mitigating measures.

You play a key role in maintaining the physical integrity of our sites by auditing and monitoring the health status of our systems and, jointly with subject matter experts and external suppliers, maintaining their functionality. You also identify and act upon initiatives that improve our physical security infrastructure and contribute directly to budgetary planning for our external suppliers. You interact daily with our external security service providers to ensure delivery of high‑quality security services and a smooth customer experience.

You will work on multiple high‑impact initiatives and projects by collaborating with stakeholders across organizational levels to deliver measurable outcomes through effective project management. Finally, you deliver loss‑prevention‑related education and awareness programs to other teams across all management levels and manage the implementation of our S&LP plan.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, or 4+ years of relevant professional or military experience
  • 2+ years of security service, loss prevention, asset protection, investigations, or law enforcement, or 2+ years of Amazon (Blue Badge/FTE) experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in implementing metric‑based strategies utilizing continuous improvement concepts
  • Experience in physical security systems maintenance/implementation and coordinating scope of work with security vendors
