Security Officer | Olive Branch Day Shift

The Security Officer is responsible for patrolling the hospital and grounds to ensure a safe, secure environment for associates, patients, their families, and other visitors.

• Patrol the hospital, parking, and/or assigned areas to ensure safety and security for associates, patients, and visitors.
• Assume mobile responsibilities such as van or shuttle duties.
• Provide customer service and perform general duties.
• Use proper communication skills for radio and telephone.
• Prepare daily activity reports, Incident Reports, Offense Reports, Fire Reports, and other required documentation.
• Maintain property of patients, lost and found items, and documentation related to money escorts.
• Maintain appearance and equipment.

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred: 1–3 years of security or law enforcement experience.

• Class D Driver License – Tennessee
• Secure Guard – Unarmed – Tennessee Department of Commerce and Insurance

• Knowledge of security and criminal investigation methods and operations.
• Integrity and honesty in carrying out assigned duties.
• Ability to greet and assist members of the public with appropriate behavior.
• Ability to prepare and understand written materials such as Incident Reports.
• Verbal communication skills with associates and visitors.
• Work independently with close supervision.
• Organize multiple tasks and maintain control of workflow.
• Maintain working relationships with co‑workers.

The position requires climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion. It may involve exerting up to 100 lbs of force occasionally and up to 50 lbs frequently. Good balance and coordination are required.

No supervisory or lead responsibilities are assigned to this position.
