Maintenance Technician III 2 - Full Time
This position requires inspecting, monitoring, and maintaining facility structures, equipment, and grounds, and performing major mechanical and advanced electrical repairs on standard warehousing equipment under the direction of the Maintenance/Facilities Manager.
Responsibilities- Accurately complete preventive maintenance tasks on motorized material handling equipment (MHE), conveyor belts, and building HVAC systems.
- Assess, perform, and document necessary equipment and facility repairs and adjustments.
- Complete complex mechanical and electrical repairs and upgrades for equipment and facilities.
- Conduct required OSHA and state-mandated maintenance and sanitation training.
- Comply with safety laws and the company safety policies; report violations to management.
- Maintain a flexible work schedule and adhere to designated shift and overtime as needed.
Skills and Abilities
- Proficient in using various test and metering equipment.
- In-depth maintenance practices for MHE, conveyors, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
- Experience repairing and maintaining HVAC systems.
- Experience with standard maintenance practices (lubrication, adjustments, setup, calibration).
- Ability to operate common hand and power tools safely and proficiently.
- Ability to read schematics and mechanical drawings.
- Proficiency in preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
- Moderate but varying temperatures and humidity in office and warehouse environments.
- Work is performed inside and outside with exposure to weather, dust, odors, and noise.
- Must be able to stand, sit, squat, lift, and walk for the duration of the shift.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be comfortable working at heights up to 32 feet when operating lifts.
- Manual dexterity to safely use power tools and equipment.
- At least 6 months experience with PLC logic principles, PLC programming concepts, and related equipment.
- Associate degree in Industrial or Maintenance Technology (preferred) and 2 years of maintenance experience in facilities, distribution, or manufacturing OR at least 4 years of maintenance experience in these environments.
- Automated Process Control or MHE maintenance experience.
- Experience with Lockout/Tagout, fall protection, and OSHA regulations.
- Extensive mechanical and/or electrical maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair experience.
- Welding and/or fabrication experience.
- Certifications/licenses in CFM, Electrical, HVAC, or lift trucks are preferred.
Starting base pay is $34.25 - $36.65 per hour. Some schedules may qualify for shift differential pay. The actual pay offered depends on qualifications, experience, and location.
