- Monitor, maintain and perform minor repairs, maintenance, and improvements.
- Read, interpret, and implement work orders.
- Use a CMMS (work order system).
- Effectively communicate verbally, written, and via e‑mail.
- Use strong interpersonal skills and be safety‑minded.
- Problem‑solve, troubleshoot, and understand resources to accomplish tasks.
- Gather needed materials to complete repairs and work orders.
- Accurately track and store the department’s inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment.
- Support continuous improvement within all departments.
- Assess and resolve a wide array of maintenance issues on‑site, including electrical knowledge, lighting (interior & exterior), rack and guard railing maintenance, plumbing, welding, carpentry, and understanding of pneumatic systems.
- Perform preventative maintenance tasks using tools and equipment.
- Assist other Maintenance Technicians repairing and maintaining equipment.
- Perform battery changes and preventive maintenance on batteries.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of experience working in general maintenance/construction, including roofing, carpentry, plumbing, cabinetry, electrical, building construction, or a related trade/technical school equivalency.
- Onsite and in‑office role.
- Flexibility with work hours and days (24 hour, 7 days a week operation, including holidays).
- Ability to drive (PID) powered industrial trucks inclusive of people movers and forklifts (WSI certification required).
- Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, painting, flooring repairs, drywall repairs, and carpentry work.
- Thorough knowledge and experience to safely operate a wide array of hand and power tools.
- Excellent customer service skills, ability to work independently, with flexibility, and self‑reliance.
- Ability to perform under pressure with strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Commercial experience.
- Ability to work at heights and in unusual positions.
- Ability to safely operate all hand tools.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly.
- Ability to operate powered industrial equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and handcarts.
- Tolerate exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, and work around moving equipment while working in uncomfortable positions.
- Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, feet (foot pedals) manual (picking, pinching, holding, grasping), and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation).
- Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces.
- Occasionally exposed to repetitive motion work. Noise level usually moderate.
