JOB DESCRIPTION

JOB TITLE: Sanitation Driver/Crew Member (CDL)

DEPARTMENT: Sanitation

REPORTS TO: Director of Sanitation

SALARY: $18.00 hourly

SUMMARY: Drives truck to collect garbage by performing the following duties, along with other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Drives on designated route to pick up and load garbage onto truck;
• Assist other drivers to get routes completed in a timely manner;
• Transports load to disposal area;
• Unloads garbage or dumps garbage from truck;
• Cleans and lubricates assigned truck; and
• Reports any suspected equipment problems.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have a valid MS Commercial Driver’s License (minimum of Class
  
  B)
• Must be able to work Monday – Thursday, 7:00 am – 5:30 pm;
• Must be available to work overtime, certain holidays, and Fridays when needed.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent;
• Acceptable experience in a related area of maintenance and/or construction.
