The General Warehouse Associate is responsible for picking, scanning, labeling, moving, staging, replenishing, and stacking product. This individual is also responsible for counting and inspecting product and notifying leadership when there are damages or discrepancies. These Associates are accountable for the safe and efficient operation of all equipment and will be expected to perform all duties as assigned. As part of the DSV team, Associates are expected to meet company objectives in the areas of performance, safety, and quality.
Associates are expected to comply with all corporate and site-specific policies.
Essential duties and responsibilities include:
- Picking responsibilities such as using a pallet jack to accurately pick orders to fulfill client demands.
- Quality control responsibilities including verifying that products and orders meet quality standards and reporting any damages or discrepancies.
- Safety, housekeeping, and compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures, corporate and site-specific policies, safety rules, and OSHA/SDS Standards.
- Equipment operation and maintenance.
Other duties may include working overtime and performing other duties as assigned.
Supervisory responsibilities are none.
Minimum required qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and the ability to work in unregulated temperatures within the warehouse.
Skills, knowledge, and abilities include basic to intermediate level mathematical skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to perform duties with minimal supervision or guidance.
Preferred qualifications include 6 months of experience working in a warehouse/logistics/distribution environment and current or prior MHE certification.
Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, and geographic location, in accordance with applicable laws and company policy.
