Position Summary

The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, shipping, and warehouse personnel. This position leads by example to ensure a safe, efficient, and customer-focused operation while driving productivity, quality, and continuous improvement.

The Warehouse Supervisor is expected to possess strong technical aptitude and embrace technology driven warehouse operations, including warehouse management systems (WMS), automation equipment, robotics, RF scanning technology, and other emerging warehouse technologies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities Leadership & Operations
  • Supervise, coach, and develop warehouse team members.
  • Schedule and assign daily work to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Monitor productivity, quality, and service level performance.
  • Ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
  • Conduct regular team meetings and communicate company goals.
  • Provide performance coaching, feedback, and corrective action as needed.
  • Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training warehouse employees.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Warehouse Operations
  • Oversee receiving, inventory control, picking, packing, shipping, and returns.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy through cycle counts and process controls.
  • Ensure proper handling and storage of customer inventory.
  • Monitor warehouse organization and cleanliness.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and shipping errors.
  • Coordinate with Customer Service, Operations, and Transportation teams.
Technology & Automation
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, barcode technology, and inventory software to manage warehouse operations.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot automated warehouse equipment, robotic systems, conveyors, or other technology used in daily operations.
  • Train employees on new technology, warehouse software, and automated processes.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency through automation, process improvements, and technology.
  • Partner with management and vendors during implementation of new warehouse technologies.
  • Demonstrate adaptability as automation and warehouse technologies evolve.
Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
  • Conduct routine safety inspections and promote safe work practices.
  • Investigate workplace accidents and implement corrective actions.
  • Maintain compliance with customer requirements and company operating procedures.
Qualifications

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or GED required;
    Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Previous forklift experience required.
  • 3-5 years of warehouse experience.
  • Previous supervisory or team lead experience preferred.
  • Experience working with automated warehouse equipment, robotics, conveyor systems, autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), automated storage systems (ASRS), or similar technology is preferred.
  • Experience with RF scanners and warehouse management systems preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Experience using warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and warehouse software.
  • Demonstrated technical aptitude and ability to quickly learn new software, automation systems, and warehouse technologies.
  • Willingness to embrace new technologies.
  • Ability to analyze operational data and use technology to improve productivity.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic hardware, software, and automation issues.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain forklift certification (or current certification preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Bend, stoop, reach, kneel, and climb as needed.
  • Work in varying warehouse temperatures.
  • Operate forklifts and powered industrial equipment as needed.
