Olmsted Falls City Schools is seeking interested and qualified candidates for a Security Manager assigned to Falls‑Lenox for the 2026‑2027 school year.
Characteristic Duties and Responsibilities- Knowledge and experience with all phases of s control as it relates to security.
- Ability to conduct training meetings with staff members.
- Implementation experience with new and updated security procedures.
- Ability to schedule operations related to s control.
- Possess sensitivity to issues surrounding all phases of school security measures as it relates to students, staff, parents and visitors.
- Conducts himself/herself in a professional, friendly manner at all times with all clients.
- Ability to suggest and/or design ideas to improve all security measures currently in place in all of our facilities.
- Familiar with use of all forms of communication equipment.
- Ability to interact with the Board of Education architects so as to provide input for all facets of security issues associated with all new construction and renovation projects.
- Have the ability to use discretion in dealing with the public and to protect a positive image of the local schools.
- Be safety conscious at all times.
- Possess the willingness to work, display initiative, assume responsibility, and take pride in work.
- Be of high moral character, dependable, industrious, sober, and exercise good judgment and refrain from using objectionable language.
- Possess a positive attitude toward learning and following directions while on the job.
- Maintain a personal appearance that is commensurate with the job to be performed.
- Have a belief in public education and a concern for the future and welfare of youngsters.
- Protect school property insofar as possible, from damage and loss through fire, theft, vandalism and deterioration.
- Observe the policies and practices of the local schools.
Oral and written instructions are received from the building Principal(s) and/or Chief Operating Officer.
Minimum Acceptable Qualifications- Be physically and mentally capable of performing the required work.
- Pass prescribed skill tests as required by the local school district and/or the state. Possess appropriate license or certificate.
- Have the ability to communicate, work cooperatively with others, get along well with students, parents, citizens and other school personnel.
Employee shall remain free of any alcohol or non-prescribed controlled substance abuse in the workplace throughout his/her employment in the District.
Compensation$18.28-$20.56 per Hour
