Olney Theatre Center is seeking energetic, enthusiastic, and customer-focused individuals to join our Box Office team. Our box office sells over 100,000 tickets annually, and team members serve as a key point of contact between Olney Theatre Center and its audience.

Qualifications
  • Excellent people skills and a strong commitment to customer service.
  • Comfortable using computers and precise with data entry.
  • Knowledge of Tessitura or another CRM (Salesforce, Spektrix, Convio) is a plus but not required.
  • Availability to work a variety of hours, including evenings and weekends, based on the show schedule.
Key Responsibilities
  • Serve customers in-person at the Box Office window and via phone: sell tickets, assist with ticket exchanges, provide show information, and help plan visits to Olney Theatre Center. Proactively offer "up-sell" options to enhance the patron experience.
  • Assist the Box Office Supervisor with processing season ticket memberships and staffing the membership table during select performances.
  • Manage will-call service before performances and collaborate with the Box Office Supervisor and House Manager to resolve customer issues or complaints.
  • Monitor and reconcile all cash drawers at the end of each shift.
  • Assist in preparing seating manifests for all venues and update information for promotional events.
  • Ensure compliance with all ticket sales policies and procedures while delivering the highest level of customer service.
  • Collaborate with other Olney Theatre Center employees to maintain a safe and supportive work environment free from bullying or sexual harassment, as outlined in the employee handbook.
