Orthopedic Surgeon – Joint Specialist; Hip & Knee

Carle Health is seeking a dynamic, board-certified or board-eligible Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in Total Joint Replacement to lead our orthopedic initiatives at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital (CRMH). This is a unique opportunity to join a growing, full-service practice where you will serve a dedicated eight-county region in Southeast Illinois. With block surgical time, a dedicated APP, and the potential for faculty affiliation with the Carle Illinois College of Medicine, this role offers the perfect balance of clinical autonomy, financial reward, and academic engagement.

As an Orthopedic Surgeon at CRMH, you will step into a high-volume environment supported by a sophisticated infrastructure. You will be the primary joint specialist for a service area of over 109,000 residents.

• Enjoy block surgical time and dedicated clinic hours all at one primary location, maximizing your efficiency and patient face-time.
• CRMH is a 25-bed, DNV-accredited facility featuring 5 modern ORs and a comprehensive surgical suite.
• Work alongside an experienced Orthopedic APP and a robust outpatient therapy team. The hospital also features a “Swing Bed” inpatient rehab program to ensure seamless post-operative recovery for your patients.
• Through our partnership with the Carle Illinois College of Medicine—the world’s first engineering-based medical school—you have the opportunity to engage in research and academic mentorship.

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Orthopedic Surgery.
• Residency or Fellowship training in Total Joint Replacement (Knee and Hip) is mandatory.
• Candidates with training or experience in minimally invasive surgical techniques are highly preferred.
• Must have a desire to live in and become an active member of the Olney community.
