Settlement Officer — Richland County Abstract, Title Solutions Group

Richland County Abstract, a division of Title Solutions Group, is looking for a detail-driven Settlement Officer to coordinate, process, and disburse escrow files across the markets we serve. You’ll partner with lenders, processors, and clients to deliver accurate, on‑time settlements and an exceptional experience.

What You’ll Do:
  • Support business development alongside Marketing and stay current on settlement technology; recommend upgrades.
  • Follow ITIC settlement/accounting guidelines and communicate professionally with clients and teammates.
  • Coordinate all aspects of closings: prepare and process loan packages, ensure file readiness, and attend closings as needed.
  • Create/Edit settlement statements; print checks and manage disbursements; complete all post‑closing functions.
  • Perform daily reconciliation reviews; monthly 1099 exception and A/R cleanups; monitor and follow up on aging escrow files.
  • Answer escrow customer questions and drive issue resolution with urgency and care.
  • Communicate regularly with the Agency Manager on workload, customer issues, and any production obstacles; jump into special projects.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent training/experience).
  • 2+ years in real estate loan closings and settlement operations.
  • Strong analytical skills to review real estate transaction documents.
  • Organized, deadline‑driven, and steady under pressure; excellent written and verbal communication.
