RN:
Ambulatory Nurse utilizes a systematic approach to nursing by incorporating assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation. Provides healthcare to individuals, families, and communities within the RN scope of practice as defined by the Illinois Board of Nursing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA)
- Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) - Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- College diploma in Nursing
- Provides and facilitates competent health care of patients and families in area of practice.
- Ensures adherence to established standards of care and scope of practice.
- Reviews physician’s orders and carries out orders in a knowledgeable and professional manner.
- Dispenses sample drugs according to policy and procedure, completing log book with required information.
- Ensures documentation of care is complete and accurate.
- Provides health and wellness education to individuals and groups.
- Provides leadership for initiatives designed to improve quality of care or clinical outcomes.
- Assists with procedures, observing general standard precautions.
- Telephone triage for patient or parent calls, triage patients from birth through lifespan.
- Notifies patients of test results.
- Manages medication refills for any medications (hypertension, diabetes, COPD, etc.).
- Performs nurse visits for injections, BP checks across lifespan.
- Triage patients in office for walk‑ins.
- Schedules tests for patients to ancillary departments of the hospital.
Compensation range: $33.11 per hour – $53.88 per hour. Comprehensive benefits package available. Benefits details lehealth.org/benefits.
