Scheduling Details:
Work schedule can be flexibility with school schedule.
Assume the responsibilities for direct care of assigned patients under the supervision of a registered nurse or provider in patient care departments. Provides nursing services to patient and families in accordance with the LPN scope of practice as defined by the Illinois Board of Nursing.
Qualifications- Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days – American Heart Association (AHA)
- Certificate of Completion:
Licensed Practical Nurse;
College Diploma:
Nursing,
Work Experience:
Healthcare
- Provide direct care to patients under the direct supervision of an RN, mid-level provider or physician.
- Patient response to care is reported to a registered nurse/provider for evaluation, intervention and modification of the plan of care.
- Ensures documentation of care is complete and accurate.
- Takes responsibility for patient and employee safety by reporting or correcting safety hazards.
- Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to the scope of service.
- Ability to provide patients medications utilizing the five rights.
- Routine patient care involving hygiene care—including routine rounding of patients.
- Documentation of care.
- Receives bedside report from offgoing nurse at the beginning of each shift, and updates communication board.
- Effectively communicates within the health care team to promote interdisciplinary collaboration.
The compensation range for this position is $25.73 per hour - $41.87 per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered to a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
