American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery (LDRP) position in a rural OB/GYN setting in Olney, IL, requiring 2+ years of L&D experience and an active IL RN license.
Details- Rural OB/GYN department within a hospital setting
- Provides care across antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, gynecology, and Level I & II nursery patients
- Performs fetal heart monitoring (external and internal), vaginal exams, and tocolytic agent administration
- Functions in the circulating nurse role for vaginal deliveries
- EMR:
Epic (experience required);
Perigen experience preferred - Night shift: 3x12-hour shifts per week
- Weekend shifts required
- Holiday shifts required on a rotation basis
- May float to other Carle Health system facilities, including Methodist Hospital, Young Minds, Pekin Hospital, and Proctor Hospital
- Active IL RN license required; temporary license accepted
- Current certifications required: BLS, ACLS, and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant L&D nursing experience
- Associate degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Experience with Perigen preferred
- Responsibilities include patient assessment, plan of care development, nursing interventions, documentation, and continuous evaluation and modification of care plans
- Performs comfort measures, patient education (peri-care, breast care, diet, post-delivery/surgical activity), and participates in interfacility maternal patient transfers
- Assists with orientation, training, and supervision of assigned staff members
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted
- Requested time off (RTO) not to exceed 7 total days per 13-week contract
- Travelers who have been on continuous assignment with Carle Health for 1 year must take a 6-month break in service before returning to any Carle Health location
- 20-week contract
