RN – Primary Care

• Provide and facilitate competent health care of patients and families in the area of practice
• Ensure adherence to established standards of care and scope of practice
• Review physician's orders and carry out orders professionally
• Dispense sample drugs according to policy and procedure and complete the log book
• Ensure documentation of care is complete and accurate
• Provide health and wellness education to individuals and groups
• Provide leadership for initiatives designed to improve quality of care or clinical outcomes
• Assist with procedures while observing standard precautions
• Perform telephone triage for patients or parents from birth through the lifespan
• Notify patients of test results
• Refill medications
• Conduct nurse visits for injections and blood pressure checks
• Perform in-office patient triage
• Schedule patient tests through hospital ancillary departments

• Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) within 30 days
• College Diploma in Nursing

Demonstrates expertise in patient care, adherence to standards of practice, and effective communication with patients and families. Proficient in health education, medication management, and quality improvement initiatives.
