Job Details:

• Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM

• Three shifts per week (3x12 schedule)

• Every other weekend required

• Every other holiday required

• Patient ratio of 4:1 for all shifts

• Care for all age groups including adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics

• Daily census of 90 patients with 90 visits per day in 39-room emergency department

• 12-hour orientation provided

• 2 years of emergency department experience required

• General ED adult/pediatric ER experience required

• First-time travelers accepted but must have Cerner charting system experience

• Must successfully pass the Relias EKG Rhythm Interpretation Exam with minimum 80% overall score and 100% on lethal rhythms

• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC, ENCP

• Skills include blood product administration, central line care/management, care of ventilated patients, triage, starting and maintaining IVs, emergency medications, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, and isolation precautions/PPE

• Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, transportation, and unit secretary

• Maryland license or compact license required

• Two supervisor references required

• No requested time off permitted during first two weeks of assignment
